Roger Schank explains how story-centered curriculums better prepare university students for work in the real world in Trainingmag.com. It sounds a whole lot like Extreme Programming. Room for cross fertilzation?

Owen Byrnes has confidence. "Companies that didn't hire me (short seller's alert)" Click here to send an email to the editor of this weblog. ( comments) # 92 5:41:09 PM  .

Michael Moore wants to weblog. Send him email with suggestions. michaelmoore.com.

"Can anybody out there lend me a hand? My buddy, Ray Simon, and I have been trying to cobble this thing together and keep it going. When we had our TV series (i.e., money from a big network), we could do a decent job. But now... well, we do our best. Ray has his own business, Mischief Marketing, and that's what he does -- he uses the medium to help others create mischief (or vice versa). You can check out his site at ... Mischief Marketing.

We don't have the money to do the site properly and have considered shutting it down (which we'd rather not do).

For instance, I would love to post a daily journal from my book tour. How do you do that?

But, if any of you know HTML and have a little time to spare to teach me or help me make this site a better site for people to use, then I would love to hear from you. Write me at mmflint@aol.com."

"According to statistics, the average citizen is caught on CCTV cameras 300 times a day." They expect the number to grow ten-fold in the next 5 years. BBC News | SCI/TECH | Watching your every move

The migration to digital cameras, widely networked, means those 1,095,000 videos of you taken each year can be connected into one large montage of your life. It's your life; who should be able to see it?

There have been FAQ apps for years. The best I've seen comes from Public Mind. Anyone who creates online documentation or wants to understand this area of user experience should cruise their site and those of their customers. I don't know if they are innovators or just the kind of experts that pay exacting attention to a narrow problem; it paid off. You can request their white paper. L.A. Times columnist Patt Morrison is delightful. She writes about politics and politicians and poetry. Her Red Ink and Ken was cute but it is her pithy assessment of Sacramento, Southland, and Beltway goings-on that I read her for. Thanks to Ztuff for the referral.
