klogs   technology

Cristian Vidmar frames klogs as fodder for marketing asset management and product presentation systems. His idea:

  1. You post about your products over time.
  2. You mark up your posts with topic flags or some other easy way to group posts about the same product, maybe even the same characteristic of that product.
  3. You define patterns for great presentations (how you tell the story, what goes where).
  4. A tool built on your blog's content management system mines your content, slotting it as a candidate for each part in a presentation.
  5. You pick the best post for that part of the presento.
  6. You revise and polish the assembled deck, filling in gaps, further tailoring for an audience.

Advantages?

  1. Speed.
  2. Repurposing content.
  3. "The quality of this material, created day by day with the k-log without any next-day hurry, would definitely be higher."
