public policy shortage watch
Did you know Pakistan has a minister for labour, manpower, and overseas Pakistanis? Abdul Sattar Lalika expects 200,000 people to emmigrate for work. This is double the previous year. They have interesting problems, like a nursing shortage (5 doctors to one 1 nurse); nurses leave for U.S. and Europe. Any doubts this is a worldwide labor market?
