Folk songs capture a moment in time. Songs like American Pie abound in cultural reference. Likewise, Blogistan Pie is meaningful to the small culture of metabloggers and blog software developers. The lyrics are a key that illuminates both the memes of the moment and our tribe's social network. The hyperlinks added to the lyrics (hyperlyrics?) are declare many of those references. Any student of blogging history could do worse than to surf them, even to deadblog or the Internet Archives.
