Blue Sky Radio
Dale Pike writes: I want to be able to designate a category and have that post sent as an email message to a pre-determined address. This would allow me to further consolidate my communications and have a more streamlined "write once" approach to my messaging.
I would initially designate a category for several news-oriented email lists that I manage, but I can forsee even designating individuals as category-based recipients. I quite often find myself making a post and thinking of someone who does not "do" weblogs yet who would benefit from the information. I've also thought about the email as a "teaser" that links to my (or someone else's) weblog. I'd like to add: Email is a great notification tool, the first push technology (I think it preceded ftp?). We can drive posts to pagers, cell phones, IM, PDAs. As we get smarter about news aggregation getting enterprise and external events into Radio, we can also get more sophisticated at rebounding content to the appropriate audiences.

When is it useful to package a script like this as a Radio tool? Dean Stringer - Google-It to other/multiple search engines Is there a mechanism that will let an IT department distribute the tool as an automatic update? Perhaps via a Radio Community Server? Is there a mechanism that will let a tool publisher know which users successfully installed the tool? Which version? Have it turned on? Have turned it off?
