bloggers for hire Blue Sky Radio klogs staffing
Hi, Garth. Thought I'd plant a seed from my wishlist in the Deadly Bloody Serious garden. I started by looking at some of the HR-XML (http://www.hr-xml.org/) specs because I wanted to post my CV in my Radio blog (Bloggers For Hire). And others' CVs. A DTD specifies everything; and the standard is becoming used by firms that collectively employ millions. So how do I get it into Radio? First I thought to handcraft an xml resume. That lasted 20 seconds. Then I thought to write a form to populate an xml resume. Going back and forth to make sure it was compliant with the DTD. That lasted 15 seconds. How about using the DTD to make corresponding Radio tables and an input/edit workflow? Getting closer. How would a CV map to a post? How about taking some header data from a CV for the Title, and putting the rest into an enclosure? That sounds right. It will let me preview CVs in html. It will let me syndicate resumes via rss, with blog posts for annotation. It will let me open and view xml attachments to blog posts. It will update the forms and data as the DTDs are revised. Most important, it will open up Radio to hundreds of industry-specific DTDs and business processes. Garth, I know you have plenty of spare time, despite wedding craziness. So this is for when you look for new things to add to Radio HackMaster. Have fun. - phil
