Blogspot: 3.3 million visitors in March 2004

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA: Polling firm comScore Media Metrix reports Google's Blogspot.com received 3.38 million unique visitors in March. via David Akin's blog.

If we assume blog readers outnumber writers 2-to-1, that suggests 1.1 million active Blogspot bloggers. Not all Blogger users use Blogspot, many host their blogs elsewhere. Let's guess most do, maybe 80%, so Blogger has 1.4 million active users today. This is roughly double the number of users from this time last year. Google overall only has 23.5% growth year over year, but on a base of 58 million visitors. Blogger's traffic is running 5-6% of Google's overall traffic.
