Spammers Tailor Mail Using Blog Data

Engineers showed new bots that parse weblogs at the 5th Annual Nigerian Email Conference. The bots grab locations, language, personal contacts, professional jargon, favorite music, and blogrolled sites. The bots use the data to defeat spam filters and create targeted messages.
